Mobile phone use gains momentum in Asian countries |
The increasing utility of mobile phones has made them the most preferred device in the market and Asian countries have seen an exponential increase in their usage with Nepal registering the highest average annual growth in the region. The number of mobile phone users is growing rapidly in Nepal. Although the mobile penetration in Nepal was slow compared to other countries, it has now crossed the 100 percent mark. Bangladesh has witnessed the second-highest average annual growth of 49 percent in mobile phones in Asia. A growth of 46 percent in smartphones was observed in Pakistan making it the third highest Asian country, as per the data from World Bank. Smart Dubai inks deal with Rochester Institute of Technology |
As part of its efforts to promote scientific research and strengthen cooperation frameworks with leading scientific and academic centres in the world, the Dubai Data Establishment has signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, with Rochester Institute of Technology in Dubai, RIT Dubai, with the goal of developing a specialised academic programme to award a Master's Degree in Data Science.
