The management of the Algeria Telecom unit in Sidi Bel Abbès has commissioned three other new transmission stations for telephone and internet services via 4th generation technology (Idoom 4 GLTE), reports a press release from the communication unit. three (3) new radio stations, mainly affecting landlocked areas in the depths of the south of the wilaya, Rjem Demmouche, Sidi Chaib and Oued Sbaa, the telecom services have considerably improved coverage by increasing the number to 62 stations, reaching a capacity of 37,200 lines, it was specified.
Thus, the coverage of the Internet network Idoom 4 GLTE extends over the entire territory of the wilaya, in application of the action plan which aims to connect residential municipalities, particularly isolated rural ones, with stations of this type, making it possible to open up these regions while benefiting from internet connection and boost local development, specifies the source. Algérie Télécom has carried out several other development projects since the beginning of 2023, aiming to generalize the telephone network to all the municipalities of the wilaya in the service of the 4th generation Idoom 4 GLTE, the press release concludes.
