Movitel has launched a 4.5G LTE service, claiming to offer the fastest mobile data connection in Mozambique. Daily A Verdade reports that the new service is for now available only in some areas of Maputo. Rival Vodacom was first to launch a 4G service in Maputo.
The potential speed of the new service is up to 100 Mbps, while actual speeds in the capital are around 20 Mbps.
