Digital transformation drivers like the advent of 5G networks and safe cities will come under the spotlight on Huawei Day Bahrain 2018 next Tuesday.
Transportation and Telecommunications Minister Kamal Ahmed is expected to be present during the high-level forum at the Wyndham Grand Bahrain Bay.
The event is also part of a series of activities within the Economic Development Board-organised Bahrain Technology Week 2018 starting tomorrow, under the theme Building a Fully Connected, Intelligent Kingdom.
Global ICT solutions provider Huawei said it will showcase several key technologies over the week that are crucial in creating advanced knowledge-based economies.
The day-long forum specifically will feature several keynotes and discussions on the future of ICT and its role in accelerating the economic growth of the country.
Huawei Bahrain chief executive John Lu Yuedong said what the company was looking forward to most is the arrival of 5G, “which has the power to unleash tremendous economic development and help organisations in the kingdom fast-track their growth”.
