Russian national operator Rostelecom has signed multi-lateral cooperation agreements with the Federal Ministry of Digital Development and ITC and governments of three regions. The agreements were signed under the framework of the St Petersburg economic forum.
The tripartite agreements were signed with governments of the Yekaterinburg and Samara regions and the Republic of Khakasia. The parties will together look to eliminate the digital divide in small settlements. They hope to launch broadband services in around 600 settlements under the agreements.
