Deyaar Development PJSC (“Deyaar”), one of Dubai’s leading property developers and real estate service providers, adopts Microsoft’s cloud solutions, cyber security products, and business intelligence capabilities to optimise costs and spearhead innovation across operations and processes. Both companies will work together to redefine Deyaar’s customer experience with a virtual-tour application using Microsoft’s mixed-reality HoloLens device, create a turnkey Datacentre Modernisation Project, and transform Deyaar’s business model through additional services.
“Deyaar aims to deliver high-quality real estate developments and differentiated services through return on investment for stakeholders and value for customers – and technology is at the core of this,” said Saeed Al Qatami, CEO, Deyaar. “The UAE has long led the world in recognising the potential of digitisation to propel society forward. With Microsoft’s innovative offerings, we are committed to achieving the company’s mission to provide smart solutions to our residents, and contributing to the region’s growing digital ecosystem.”
“Digital transformation is about empowering businesses and customers to achieve more. This starts by reimagining what’s possible and choosing the right technology partner to bring it to life,” said Bobby Morrison, Vice President and Head of Worldwide Digital Transformation, Microsoft Corporation.
Microsoft HoloLens will enable Deyaar to showcase its complete range of properties to potential customers by placing them inside a mixed-reality environment. The technology superimposes virtual elements onto the real world, allowing customers to see the physical environment around them with digital additions grafted on top, via an advanced headset device, enabling the company to scale across geographies without having to depend on physical proximity to its customers.
In its efforts to empower employees, Deyaar is also creating a digital workplace for its staff, leveraging the Microsoft Office 365 capabilities and integrating them with the One Drive for Business and Microsoft’s collaboration tools. Business intelligence capabilities by Power BI now drive the real-estate company’s analytics and reporting, and daily dashboards provide every employee with a holistic view of the entire business.
To optimise its operations, Deyaar is leveraging the Microsoft Azure cloud to transform its IT infrastructure and reduce costs. The company also plans to optimise its call-centre operations to offer an omni-channel experience to its property and facilities-management customers, using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and supporting collaboration tools.
Microsoft and Deyaar have further teamed up on the delivery of international-standard cyber security, using products such as Enterprise Mobility Suite and Advanced Threat Protection, to help the property developer become compliant with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Deyaar’s digital transformation journey is still ongoing as it is in the midst of reinventing its business models to fulfil its vision for smart and connected buildings with Azure’s Internet of Things offerings. Once complete, this solution will deliver significant savings on energy costs, transform the resident experience, and create a truly smart community.
Microsoft and Deyaar are also in the final stages of a turnkey Datacentre Modernisation Project for Deyaar’s hospitality division, which is launching later this year. The project leverages the capabilities of on-premises computing with those of the Azure cloud, and will be delivered in partnership with HP Enterprise’s Azure Stack hybrid-cloud solution. Upon rollout, Deyaar will become the first real-estate company in the Middle East to adopt Azure Stack.
