Orange Egypt, in collaboration with GriffinWorx, has rewarded winners of the Orange Startup Cup for Emerging Businesses. The competition was launched to support young entrepreneurs, as well as to provide jobs through startups, and spread awareness of the resources available for entrepreneurial growth.
The competition focused on the areas gaming and virtual reality, financial technology, mobile agriculture, urban development, digital education, and application development. Winners receive training and guidance, full support through an intensive business incubation process and contact with industry leaders.
At the end of the programme, thirteen projects were qualified for the final contest. After the projects were presented to the jury, five projects were selected to win the Orange prize of EGP 50,000.
