Algerian mobile operator Optimum Telecom Algerie (OTA, trading as Djezzy) has launched its 4G service in 13 new wilayas, namely Algiers, Oran, Ain Defla, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Bouira, Bourmedes, El Oued, Mostaganem, Skikda, Tizi Ouzou, Tlemcen, Blida and Batna. The company’s 4G network is now available in 16 provinces, including the three wilayas – Constantine, Setif and Djelfa – where Djezzy introduced the LTE service on 1 October. Djezzy’s executive chairman Vincenzo Nesci revealed that the company is planning to extended to four new wilayas by the end of this year.
