Claro Colombia announced the launch of its 5G Internet offer for the home, initially, in El Poblado, in Medellín, and in Envigado, becoming the first operator in Colombia to offer this service.
Claro's 5G home Internet solution* includes 160 gigabytes of browsing capacity** and will cost $79,900 per month, including the modem.
“Today we mark a new milestone in telecommunications by being the first to use 5G speed to connect broadband Internet to Colombian homes. We will start in Medellín, but soon we will expand it to Bogotá, Cali, Bucaramanga, Cartagena and Barranquilla and to other 14 cities that we will connect this year to 5G,” said Rodrigo de Gusmao, president of Claro Colombia.
This fixed wireless Internet service or FWA (Fixed Wireless Access) offers wireless Internet connectivity over the 5G mobile network, allowing up to 10 devices to be connected at home, without requiring wiring or installation of a technician.
“Claro's highest purpose is to continue investing, innovating and connecting all Colombians to broadband Internet at the lowest possible cost,” de Gusmao said.
