stc Bahrain, a digital enabler, has been awarded the Glotel Award for its innovative IoT Connected Cars solution. Launched in March 2024, the project is the first of its kind in the Middle East, bringing "Telematic Connected Cars" technology to Chevrolet, GMC, and Cadillac vehicles through OnStar. This initiative aligns with stc's vision of achieving Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions, and Zero Congestion, and supports Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
stc Bahrain's Connected Cars solution is revolutionizing the driving experience, enhancing safety and connectivity for drivers across the region. This groundbreaking technology is now being expanded beyond Bahrain to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the UAE, solidifying stc Bahrain's position as a regional leader in connected mobility.
The solution offers two distinct plans: "Connect" and "Protect." The "Connect" plan provides drivers with a comprehensive suite of services, including remote commands, vehicle status checks, on-demand diagnostics, connected navigation, and destination download. Subscribers also benefit from 24/7 support from dedicated OnStar Advisors, available in both English and Arabic. The "Protect" plan prioritizes safety and security, offering Automatic Crash Response, stolen vehicle assistance, and misplaced key retrieval. This proactive approach to safety aligns with General Motors' commitment to driver well-being.
Eng. Khalid Al Osaimi, Chief Executive Officer of stc Bahrain commented, "stc Bahrain is committed to driving innovation and empowering our customers with transformative technologies. This award recognizes our dedication to providing customized, sustainable solutions that integrate seamlessly with our clients' operations."
