The Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST) invites the public to submit their input on the Regulations for the Use of Radio Spectrum for Satellite Services, which aims to regulate the use of radio spectrum in wireless telecommunication services, enhance and improve the efficiency of spectrum use in the Kingdom in accordance with international best practices, and protect services from harmful interference.
CST highlights the document’s notable elements such as the types of licenses for radio satellite services, such as mobile, fixed and broadcast satellite services, the technical terms and conditions for these licenses, in addition to the requirements and mechanism for assigning frequencies for various satellite radio services and applications.
CST invites all interested stakeholders, both national and international, to provide their detailed inputs, supported by the necessary analytical studies, benchmarks, and other information no later than April 30 2024, by visiting CST website:
