The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) has extended the registration period for the second cohort of the Emerging Technologies Regulatory Sandbox until March 31, 2024, in response to the interested parties. It enables participants to test innovative products, solutions and business models using seven distinct technologies, including Blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT) and Cloud computing, to understand relevant regulations and challenges.
Through the Sandbox, CST was able to establish a flexible environment for innovative business models, solutions, and services to support entrepreneurs and innovators in the field, develop the industry and promote inclusive tech products in the market.
CST invited all investors and companies in the technology sector to join the second cohort of the Emerging Technologies Regulatory Sandbox, until March 31, 2024, via the following link:

The launch of the second cohort of the sandbox stems from CST's efforts in enabling new services, promoting the digital economy, enhancing regulatory flexibility and maturity, fostering collaboration among government entities, all while protecting consumers. It also aim to stimulate economic growth and attract investments, as it enabled the first cohort of participants to provide groundbreaking innovations across multiple sectors.
