Bahrain’s NCSC and Microsoft forge partnership to bolster cybersecurity

A significant partnership in the field of cybersecurity has been forged between the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) of Bahrain and Microsoft Bahrain and Oman. The collaboration was officiated by NCSC CEO Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and Microsoft’s General Manager Shaikh Saif bin Hilal Al Hosani. The agreement is a strategic move to strengthen the information security sector at the NCSC, addressing security vulnerabilities, threats, and malware related to Microsoft’s products and technologies.

Enhancing Security and Promoting Innovation

The pact’s primary objective is to ensure the warranty and safety assessment of Microsoft’s offerings, in addition to helping create secure products for internal use. The partnership underscores Microsoft’s commitment to empowering organizations to withstand the increasing cyber threats. It also emphasizes the role of cybersecurity in promoting innovation and smooth communication processes.

The NCSC and Microsoft’s Shared Vision

During the event, the NCSC presented its objectives, operations, and collaborative efforts with different government sectors in Bahrain to secure the cyber infrastructure. Microsoft, on the other hand, discussed the Government Security Programme (GSP). The GSP is designed to enhance information security by sharing safety-related information about Microsoft’s products and services.

Promising Future for Cybersecurity

This agreement between the NCSC and Microsoft is a promising step towards a more secure future. It is a testament to the critical role that partnerships play in addressing cyber threats and ensuring the safety of digital spaces. This collaboration is expected to have a significant impact on the cybersecurity landscape, particularly in the context of Microsoft’s technologies.
