Global mobile game downloads hit 4.02 billion in November

Sensor Tower, an authoritative mobile app market intelligence company, has released its game download data for November. The report reveals that in November this year, global mobile game downloads on the App Store and Google Play were 4.02 billion. This is a month-on-month decrease of 1.4%. The Indian market ranks first with 726 million downloads. It accounts for 18.1% of the world’s total downloads. The US and Brazilian markets rank 2nd and 3rd respectively with 8.2% of downloads.

According to the analytics, Garena’s “Free Fire” (including “Free Fire MAX”) tops the global mobile game download list in November. The company reveals that in November alone, this game hit about 18 million downloads. In terms of regional downloads, India is the game’s largest market. India alone contributes about 30.4% of downloads. It is followed by Brazil and Indonesia, accounting for 9.4% and 8.2% respectively. On November 1, the game launched the 11th season “Booyah Pass” event and ushered in its third download peak in 2023.

“Roblox” ranks second on the list with nearly 17 million downloads. The United States is the game’s largest market, contributing 12.6% of downloads. The Brazilian market ranks second with 12.2% of downloads, and the third-ranked Vietnam market accounts for 8.3%. Cosmetics brand Elf and Roblox jointly launched the Elf Tycoon event, allowing players to create their own custom entrepreneur experiences in the game and giving away 1 million themed props created by players. This cross-border linkage further enriches the content of Roblex and provides an effective channel for Elf to reach future consumers.

The other three games in the top five are

  1. Miniclip’s “Subway Surfers”
  2. Gametion’s “Ludo King”
  3. Botanica Global’s “Real Car Driving: Race City 3D”.

Note: Sensor Tower download data only counts the first installation of the App Store or Google Play account. Multiple installations of the same account on different or the same device does not count repeatedly. Download data has been combined across multiple versions of the same app, such as Facebook and Facebook Lite.
