stc concludes its sponsorship of the 2nd Watheefti career fair

Kuwait Telecommunications Company – stc, a world-class digital leader providing innovative services and platforms to customers, enabling the digital transformation in Kuwait, concluded its sponsorship and participation in the 2nd Watheefti career fair. The event was held at the Arena Kuwait in 360 under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Adel Ali Al Manea. stc's involvement in the event reflects its ongoing commitment to provide career opportunities to Kuwaiti nationals while supporting educational activities, under the “upgrade” umbrella, and to empower the future generation through various initiatives.

The opening ceremony witnessed the attendance of the Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Adel Al-Manea. Chief Human Resources Officer at stc, Eng. Ahmad Al-Hammad, and the General Manager of Corporate Communications, Danah AlJasem also attended the opening ceremony, in addition to the Human Resources and the Public Relations teams from stc, and many prominent executives and senior officials from the public and private sectors.

Watheefti Career fair is considered one of the biggest in the country, as the second edition witnessed the participation of more than 120 private and governmental entities representing various vital sectors of the country. During the fair many workshops and discussion panels were organized covering various functional, administrative and life aspects that concern every job seeker or new employee, presented by a group of the most prominent trainers, speakers and specialists.

During the career fair, stc organized one of the workshops at the event, which was titled ‘Jobs of the Future’. The workshop was led by engineer Nawaf AlMishri, Talent Acquisition Manager at stc. Through his vast experience in talent acquisition, AlMishri provided key insights on the current job market in Kuwait and the future outlook of the opportunities that lie ahead for individuals. The workshop was attended by students eager to embark on their future career journeys.

Through its active participation stc also joined the ‘Critical Competencies for Success in the Workplace’ panel discussion, which witnessed the participation of AlMishri, Haya Borisly – Senior Strategic HR Business Partner at stc, and Mohammad Alsaeed – HR Business Partner at stc. The discussion touched upon key competencies vital in today's dynamic workplace, from adaptability to emotional intelligence and the importance of continuous learning. Emphasizing both technical and soft skills, the panelists highlighted the need for professionals to evolve with the changing demands of the business world.

As part of its participation, members from stc’s recruitment team were present at stc’s booth, providing students and fresh graduates with more information about the various positions available at stc, as well as the Company’s dynamic work environment. The recruitment team also conducted interviews and guided interested candidates in fulfilling the resume submission process for an opportunity to begin their professional journey with stc.
