Orange expands 5G network coverage in Slovakia

Orange, the largest mobile operator in Slovakia, has revised its plans and will now provide 5G network coverage to a greater number of locations than originally anticipated. Originally intending to cover 50% of the populationthe end of this year, Orange has surpassed this goal and is now planning to reach 65% of the populationthe end of 2023.

According to Orange spokesperson Alexandra Piskunová, the 5G network is currently available to 58.5% of the population in 379 cities and municipalities. This means that Orange has already achieved coverage in more than half of its target areas.

In just one week, Orange managed to increase its coveragean additional 1.4 percentage pointsadding 33 new locations. This is in addition to the 45 municipalities that were previously announced.

The expansion of the 5G network will enable faster and more reliable internet connections for users in these areas. 5G technology boasts significantly higher speeds and lower latency compared to its predecessors, allowing for seamless streaming, faster downloads, and improved connectivity for Internet of Things (IoT) devices.

Orange’s decision to exceed its original coverage goals reflects the company’s commitment to providing cutting-edge technology and improved connectivity to its customers. By expanding its 5G network, Orange is positioning itself as a leader in the mobile industry in Slovakia.
