Mocambique Telecom (Tmcel) is more than halfway through the second phase of its network expansion and modernisation project which it launched early last year. A report from Ecofin says the operator has completed 57% of the planned work. So far it has deployed 770 new base stations and has also been upgrading its fibre backbone infrastructure and has installed network monitoring systems. Tmcel is working with Ericsson on the upgrade project.
