NTC and Ncell to support different bands and frequencies for telecom services in Nepal

The telecom operators in Nepal, NTC and Ncell, offer different bands and frequencies for their services across the country. Samsung is the first mobile brand to provide support for Band 20 (800 MHz) in Nepal since 2020, which was introducedNepal Telecom for its LTE/4G network during its VoLTE expansion.

NTC and Ncell currently support the common bands in Nepal, including Band 8 (900 MHz) for 2G, Band 1 (2100 MHz) for 3G, and Band 3 (1800 MHz) for 4G. With the implementation of Band 20 support in Samsung devices, users can expect improved coverage and connectivity.

In addition to supporting existing technologies, telecom companies in Nepal are also working towards the launch of 5G networks. The commercialization of 5G technologyall network operators in the country will allow users to experience faster internet speeds on their 5G-ready devices.

Samsung has been actively collaborating with both NTC and Ncell to bring 5G technology to Nepal. They have been launching 5G-ready smartphones at different price ranges since 2021, aiming to make users future-ready for the upcoming technology.

Recently, Samsung launched its most affordable 5G smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy M14 5G, further expanding its 5G device lineup in Nepal.
