Oman, represented by the Ministry of Health, participated in the meeting of the G20 ministers meeting, held in the Republic of India.
The Oman’s delegation was led by H E Dr Hilal bin Ali al Sabti, the Minister of Health.
In a speech, H E Dr Hilal bin Ali al Sabti, stated, “We invite and encourage collaboration with G20 member nations, international organisations, private institutions, and manufacturers to tap into our country’s potential within the global healthcare network.”
“Oman stands behind and actively promotes the use of digital health solutions that are reliable and sustainable. These solutions are in harmony with the WHO’s Global Strategy for Digital Health 2020-2025 and play a role in working towards Universal Health Coverage (UHC),” he added.
“We provide support for the implementation of our National Digital Health Strategy, ensuring it aligns with the norms, standards, and guidance set by the WHO.”
“Oman endorses the initiatives delineated within the three main priority areas. We believe that by converging efforts, consolidating resources, and creating a health system that is stronger, resilient, sustainable, and inclusive, we pave the way for a healthier and better future,” said Dr Hilal.
