Zain Innovation Campus hosts participants of KON Program

The Zain Innovation Campus (ZINC) hosted a special session for the participants of the KON Social Entrepreneurship Program, held by the leading non-profit LOYAC in collaboration with Babson College in Boston. Zain sponsors the program as part of its long-term partnership with LOYAC, which extends for 19 years.

Zain’s support to this unique educational program springs from its strong belief in the high value it presents to the local entrepreneurial community. The company continues to witness great enthusiasm and curiosity from hundreds of eager young people who participate in the program every year to make the most out of their summer vacation by learning new business skills, growing their talents, and fulfilling their future dreams.

The session hosted at ZINC centered around the basics and essentials of public speaking and business pitching, giving the students invaluable insights on how to pitch their businesses to investors to finance their projects and turn their ideas into profitable and sustainable startups. The session was attended by nearly 50 students from this year’s KON program.

KON targets students of 12-16 years and empowers them to learn the essentials of entrepreneurship and business, gain insights on social and environmental challenges faced by today’s businesses, and learn how to plan and develop their own projects.

The program also guides students into making their own case studies of the market and specifying their target audience, while introducing them to successful experiences from local entrepreneurs. KON comes in collaboration with Babson College in Boston, one of the most prestigious entrepreneurship colleges in the United States and the number one institution in the world for entrepreneurship education.

Zain and LOYAC’s strategic partnership extends to 19 years of successful programs and initiatives that empowered thousands of ambitious Kuwaiti youth in business, volunteering, and academic projects. Zain considers this a great achievement that truly reflects the strength and resilience of the collaboration ecosystem between the private sector and non-profit organizations in empowering Kuwaiti youth.

LOYAC is a non-profit organization established in Kuwait in 2002 with the aim of empowering the youth to become impactful leaders in the society, offering a broad range of unique programs that fall under a model integrating community, professional, and life empowerments. LOYAC operates in Kuwait, Lebanon, Yemen, and Jordan, and has empowered over 3.5 million young people since its inception.
