Guyanese telco ENet has announced the full commercial launch of its VoLTE service. The system, which it describes as ‘4G/5G VoLTE’ is supported by solutions from Mavenir, including its Cloud-Native IMS and Mavenir’s Digital Enablement Platform (MDE) – a combined digital BSS and converged charging system. In a joint statement, ENet CEO Vishok Persaud was quoted as saying: ‘As the first service provider in Guyana to bring 4G and 5G VoLTE networks to the market, ENet is leveraging the latest advanced technology designed to meet the demands of the Guyanese people.’ Further details regarding the operator’s network were not available.
As previously reported by TeleGeography’s CommsUpdate ENet launched pre-commercial trials of the technology in May this year. At that date it unveiled its ‘Orange’ ENet Mobile plans, offering voice, messaging and data from GYD2,900 per month.
