Dr. Talaat divulged plans to install two novel subsea cables, which would establish a more robust link between Egypt and Algeria, with operations commencing by 2025. This would raise the tally of cables connecting the two nations to four. There was also discourse around the importance of inspiring the younger generation to establish startups, with an acknowledgement of Algeria's successes in this field.
Algeria's Minister for Postal Services and Telecommunications emphasised the deep-seated historical ties between Egypt and Algeria, as well as their shared aspirations for the future, particularly within the telecommunications and information technology sector.
