The King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah) launched the Saudi Flag Application to coincide with Flag Day, which is observed every year on March 11.
Darah CEO Mohammed Al-Shuwaer said that this is an electronic product aimed to serve Saudi Arabia’s history, geography, literature, and intellectual and architectural impact.
He said that the bilingual application, in Arabic and English, is a product of the Antami (I belong) electronic project being implemented by the foundation. It consists of an enlightening and introductory message. and a number of windows, including the national anthem; the flag's regulations; its history; and historic achievements aimed at enlightening children and youth, the illiterate, and all those who are interested in the meaning and values of the flag to Saudi Arabia’s history, culture and heritage.
He said that the application is a digital platform that contains a comprehensive reference to the history, symbolism, and significance of the Saudi flag and will contribute to people’s understanding of the value of the flag throughout the Kingdom’s history.
