The average fixed broadband download speed in Azerbaijan increased by 50% year-on-year to 26.3Mbps in January, according to a study from Ookla cited by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport (MDDT).
The rise from 17.5Mbps a year earlier was driven by investment in modern internet infrastructure across the country, according to the ministry. The government’s Online Azerbaijan project aims to extend high speed fixed broadband coverage nationwide by the end of 2024.
