French-owned cellco Orange DRC has launched a fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) service in Gombe although coverage of other municipalities will be added in the coming months. Fibre plans are available to residential customers with download speeds of 30Mbps, 100Mbps or 200Mbps for USD59, USD99 or USD149 per month respectively. Business customers, meanwhile, have access to downlink speeds of up to 500Mbps for USD350 per month.
