The Amazon Music app has been added to Sky Glass, Sky Stream and Sky Q today, offering millions of songs and albums, thousands of playlists, and latest releases. To access, Sky customers can use voice command or find it in the expanding apps rail.
Fraser Stirling, global chief product officer at Sky, said: “At Sky we’re focused on bringing people the best entertainment experience, and the launch of Amazon Music on Sky Glass, Sky Stream and Sky Q emphasises that. Fans can enjoy a huge selection of music and playlists alongside shows, movies and fitness content.”
Karolina Joynathsing, director, business development at Amazon Music added: “Sky provides their subscribers a one-stop-shop for entertainment content, in all of its forms, and I’m thrilled to see Amazon Music now part of that offering”.
Amazon Music has three tiers for listeners to choose from, including an ad-supported service for free. The partnership between the two follows an existing partnership between the two, with the Amazon Prime Video app also on Sky platforms. Sky Stream and Sky Glass are powered by Sky’s entertainment operating system, which is regularly updated to ensure the viewing experience keeps getting even smarter.
