Mobile operator and ISP Vodafone has announced that they’ve extended their existing partnership with high-street retail chain Currys, which tends to involve supplying mobile products and services to the shop’s customers, to go beyond mobile and include their Home Broadband products too.
The multi-year partnership will thus see Vodafone continued to act as the exclusive mobile network partner for Currys, while also adding their Openreach (FTTC / FTTP) and CityFibre (FTTP) based Home Broadband products into the mix.
“With nearly 300 stores across the UK and close to 15,000 colleagues, this new deal will see countless customers stand to benefit from expert advice on mobile plans, SIM only deals, home broadband, mobile broadband, as well as access to a market-leading range of top branded mobile handsets and accessories,” said the announcement.
Max Taylor, Chief Commercial Officer at Vodafone UK, said:
“I am delighted to announce the multi-year extension of our unique, exclusive and successful partnership with Currys. Ensuring as many customers as possible get the choice of the UK’s reliable award-winning network. Together we will now expand the partnership to cover home broadband and other connected categories.”
As usual, it’s not known precisely how much this extension deal is worth, and the press release doesn’t say how long it will run for, although Vodafone has long been a key supplier for the chain.
