The Office of the Governor of Buraimi, in cooperation with the Innovation Oases Company, launched a competition for the citizens and residents of Buraimi to share their ideas on improving the functioning of the government in their governorate.
The contest under the slogan ‘Together for Simpler Procedures’ was launched to involve the citizens in the process of simplifying government procedures that may eventually improve the efficiency of the government.
An official at the Office of the Governor of Buraimi said, “The contest targets citizens and residents of the governorate with an aim to improve government services in an innovative way.
“This will be done to accelerate digital transformation and achieve higher satisfaction of the beneficiaries, while reducing paper works and time for any transaction. It targets zero service visits in government institutions,” he added.
“The aim is to automate all government transactions and approvals without the need for human interventions and attracting investors and raising the ranking of Oman in government services,” the official explained.
Talking about the contest’s conditions, he informed that a participant must be a resident of the Buraimi governorate, and the ideas must be related to simplifying government procedures that can be easily applied.
A participant should explain the work flow chart before and after the simplification. He/she should also present global experiences for simplifying government procedures with the use of new electronic systems.
The winner of the contest will get RO500 and participants with outstanding ideas will be honoured with certificates.
