The Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA) has announced that Starlink, the satellite internet service of SpaceX, has applied for a licence to operate high speed, low latency satellite broadband services in Tanzania.
According to The Citizen, Starlink aims to launch in the country during the first quarter of 2023, subject to regulatory approval. Starlink’s low orbit satellites are designed to offer high speed, low latency broadband internet in remote and rural locations across the globe.
