Indonesian telco Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) has announced that it is partnering IBM to develop 5G-enabled solutions for its customers in Indonesia. Under the initiative the two companies will work together to develop fifth-generation technologies, including ‘offering build, joint go-to-market and ecosystem solutions, activating and commercialising a 5G Enterprise Industry Solutions platform’.
President Director and CEO of IOH, Vikram Sinha, said: ‘We are excited to be working with IBM to increase the utilisation and commercialisation of our 5G networks. Having said that, we hope that it can drive digital transformation and improve the efficiency of companies in Indonesia.’
This tie-up will combine both companies’ technology and areas of expertise, providing ‘minimum viable product’ (MVP), best use cases, go-to-market strategies and ecosystem solutions to commercialise the 5G platform.
