Verizon creates ‘Verizon Value’ unit to oversee pre-paid brands

Verizon has announced the formation of a new unit known as Verizon Value, which will operate within the company’s Consumer Group division from 1 January 2023.

The new unit will oversee the telco’s ‘value and pre-paid’ brands, including Verizon Prepaid, sub-brand Visible and the entire portfolio of brands acquired via Verizon’s USD6.25 billion 2021 takeover of TracFone Wireless, including StraightTalk, Safelink and Total by Verizon. Angie Klein, who currently serves as the CEO of Visible and the chief revenue officer of TracFone and Verizon Prepaid has been appointed as SVP and President of Verizon Value.

Manon Brouillette, EVP and CEO of Verizon Consumer Group, commented: ‘This is the next step in the evolution of our strategy to better serve 23 million subscribers within the value market. This move and these organisational changes will accelerate our efforts to drive efficiencies while enabling us to invest in the growth brands that more closely meet our diverse customers’ needs.’
