This week has seen major announcements relating to its Mexican and Indonesian markets from Amdocs, a provider of software and services to communications and media companies.
In Mexico the company has announced that it will act as a cloud migration partner for AT&T Mexico as it transitions its Amdocs database and application workloads to the public cloud.
Amdocs Customer Experience Suite (CES) will migrate from AT&T Mexico on-premises to the cloud as part of this initiative. This, says Amdocs, will allow flexibility and capacity growth, better preparing AT&T for new initiatives from 5G and peak retail season, and providing a superior customer experience.
In Indonesia, Amdocs has announced the successful implementation and deployment of a multi-year digital transformation project at XL Axiata, one of the country’s leading communications service providers.
Amdocs says that this project, involving the migration of over 25 million XL subscribers, enables XL to quickly launch new innovative digital services, deliver convergent offerings and provide an enhanced customer experience as well as support its significant scale and performance needs.
As part of the deal, Amdocs has modernised, automated and digitised XL Axiata’s operations for postpaid and prepaid mobile consumers, with solutions from the cloud-native Amdocs Commerce and Care suite.
Furthermore, Amdocs says it has consolidated multiple service monetisation systems for XL’s enterprise and fixed-line customers, providing a single convergent solution for all lines of business, enabling efficient delivery of services and optimized IT spends.
