Polish fixed and mobile operator Play (registered as P4) has expanded its fibre broadband footprint via wholesale deals with Orange Poland and its infrastructure joint venture Swiatlowod Inwestycje. The agreement with Orange covers 360,000 households under the government-subsidised Operational Programme Digital Poland (Programu Operacyjnego Polska Cyfrowa, POPC) rollout and another 560,000 via Orange’s own commercial fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) deployments. Meanwhile, the wholesale arrangement with Swiatlowod Inwestycje will add another 1.3 million addresses to Play’s coverage by the end of this year and 2.4 million by end-2025.
Play, a subsidiary of France’s Iliad, offers fibre broadband packages priced at PLN65 (USD13.48) with a 300Mbps peak download speed, PLN75 (up to 600Mbps) and PLN95 (up to 1Gbps).
