The Etisalat telecommunication company launched 4G in the northwestern Afghan province of Herat enabling its customers to benefit from internet services of up to 10 times the speed.
Etisalat launched 4G and declared that it will address connectivity issues at an inauguration ceremony held in Herat city, the provincial capital of Herat, which was attended by high-ranking government officials, local media representatives, and its customers.
The chief executive officer of Etisalat on the inauguration day stated that “The rollout of 4G will enable our valued customers to benefit from the fast and reliable internet anywhere and anytime.”
Etisalat congratulated the people and announced that it is committed to providing “world-class” services, noting that customers can now enjoy the benefits of 4G LTE data plans for the same cost as 3G packages.
The third-most highly populated province in Afghanistan is Herat, and according to Etisalat, the expansion of internet services in this region will address several connection and speed issues.
Etisalat Afghanistan is a division of Etisalat Telecommunications Group, which is based in the United Arab Emirates and is one of the world’s largest telecommunications companies.
