Kuwait Telecommunications Company – stc, a world-class digital leader providing innovative services and platforms to customers, enabling the digital transformation in Kuwait, organized its second initiative under its latest campaign, #We_are_one, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, and the Tarahom Volunteer Team. Held at 360 Mall and bearing the title ‘story time with stc’, the initiative consisted of several activities including a cinematic experience, competitions, and a donation drive coinciding with the start of the new school year.
stc indicated in a statement that the second initiative under its #We_are_one campaign aimed to showcase an exemplary stand against bullying through a cinematic experience focused on a young individual named Youssef. Throughout the production, Youssef decides to refuse acts of bullying while focusing on the greater good. The main character is portrayed as the ideal student for his bravery and the choices he makes to stand against bullying. Nouf Al-Nasser came up with the idea for the production that was written by Amani El Sayed Hashem especially for stc. Following the live showing at 360 Mall, stc distributed copies of the production to visitors at its booth.
Aside from the production, the event included several engaging activities including the interview Anwar Al-Otaibi, Senior Psychologist at the Ministry of Education. During the interview, Al-Otaibi shared her views and opinions on the impacts of bullying amongst the younger generation. Al-Otaibi stressed on the role of the Ministry of Education in contributing with the private and government sectors by spreading and raising awareness about the importance of dealing with various forms of bullying that children and students may face at all school levels.
Through its cooperation with the Tarahom Volunteer Team, stc also held a school bag donation drive for children who are in need. The drive was managed by the Tarahom Volunteer Team, where those who donated participated in a humanitarian act that aimed to bring joy and happiness to children in need with the start of the new school year. The initiative help raised awareness on the importance of supporting the community, especially amongst the younger generation, while contributing to a special cause. As part of its impact to raise awareness on antibullying, stc had also organized competitions for children to raised awareness on bullying, where they got a chance to win a prize from stc.

In recognition of the successful collaborations, Aljasem thanked the Ministry of Education, Al-Qabas, and the Tarahom Volunteer Team. The campaign falls in line with stc’s extensive CSR framework and aims to promote spreading positivity by respecting peers and building positive relationships. In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, as well as entities from the public and private sectors, stc will organize a series of initiatives under its new campaign to encourage students to stand up against bullying, while simultaneously focusing their energy on creating a positive impact in their schools and community.
