Vodafone Qatar official technology provider for Microsoft Cloud Datacentre Region

Vodafone Qatar has announced that it was the official technology provider of the Microsoft Cloud Datacentre Region in Qatar’s launch event on August 31.

The datacentre region delivers hundreds of scalable, highly available, and resilient cloud services that empower government entities, organisations, public and private enterprises and developers to accelerate their digital transformation journeys. It connects Qatar to the largest cloud infrastructure network in the world, providing unprecedented growth and scale for Microsoft customers and partners in the country.

During the launch ceremony, Vodafone showcased its latest range of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions built on Microsoft Azure and to take full advantage of its capabilities, a statement explained. These include its IoT Fleet Management and Asset Tracking solutions, aimed at enhancing operational efficiency for a whole range of sectors, such as those businesses in construction, transport as well as logistics and SMEs.

The Microsoft cloud datacentre region delivers unprecedented opportunities for Microsoft partner ecosystem to unlock new revenue streams, innovate ground breaking solutions and drive digital transformation for customers across organisations and industries in Qatar.

According to the 2022 IDC Microsoft Cloud Dividend Snapshot, for every $1 of Microsoft cloud-generated revenue, the partner ecosystem is expected to generate $7.87 by 2026, up from $6.41 by 2023.

The partnership between Vodafone and Microsoft aims to promote the development of innovative solutions that contribute to the digital transformation of the local market, positioning Qatar among the digital leaders of the world, the statement added.
