Kuwait Telecommunications Company – stc, a world-class digital leader providing innovative services and platforms to customers, enabling the digital transformation in Kuwait, partnered with Center 21, a first of its kind center for young adults with special needs over the age of 21, to participate in the closing event of the Center 21 summer camp 2022.
Through its participation, stc aimed to provide the young adults with special needs a memorable and entertainment filled experience in celebration of their last day of the summer camp program. stc joined the celebration by acknowledging and commending the young adults, while distributing snacks and organizing entertainment options. As part of its commitment to provide pioneering services and solutions that aim to enrich the lifestyle choices of its customers on the most advanced network, stc designed flexible and unique packages tailored to meet the needs of the young adults with special needs.
stc's participation in the initiative builds on the series of summer activities and ‘Because We Care’ campaign launched under the umbrella of the Company’s extensive corporate social responsibility (CSR) program. stc participated in several initiatives that aimed to support the special needs community as part of its commitment to stand by the Kuwaiti society. In line with the objective behind its CSR program, stc formed successful collaborations over the years with private and public entities enabling it to create a wider impact in the community. In addition to that, stc has built long-standing and successful relationships with local SMEs to support the economy and entrepreneurs, while focusing on supporting various segments and causes within the community.

AlJasem stressed that it is essential to drive and support the social empowerment of the special needs community, allowing them to flourish in society while considering their condition in various fields such as academic, social, cultural, or others. She also highlighted the importance of taking humanitarian action to collectively include this segment of individuals in various initiatives along with other segments of society.
Through its role as a leading pioneer in Kuwait’s telecom sector, AlJasem expressed that stc highly supports talented young adults with special needs by empowering and highlighting their achievements. She indicated that the ‘Because We Care’ initiative launched under the Company’s CSR framework serves the primary objective of showcasing the achievements of children and young adults, motivating and empowering them to become inclusive and active members of the community.
In line with its commitment to give back to the community, stc aims to progressively broaden and expand the initiatives organized under its extensive CSR program.
