Digicel has established a partnership agreement with the government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to deliver high speed fixed wireless access (FWA) broadband across the mainland.
Under the agreement, the telco will install sites at 116 locations serving community and learning resources centres, playing fields, tourism sites and non-government organisations, connecting end users with download speeds of up to 300Mbps.
The programme has been championed by Apollo Knights, director of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC), who said: ‘This programme will have transformational benefits for thousands of Vincentians of all ages and from all walks of life … The ability to work, learn, interact and share at multiple locations across the islands will put St Vincent and the Grenadines on the map as a connected society.’
