Claro, a leading company in telecommunications and digital solutions, and VMware announce the addition of VMware Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) to Claro Colombia's Security Solutions Portfolio. This alliance, understood as the evolution of the SD-WAN network, provides the orchestration of local connectivity through Cybersecurity, facilitating teleworking, cloud workload management and the connection of remote offices.
This alliance allows Colombia to have one of the PoP (Points of Presence) in the Triara Data Center, certified with ICREA 5, facilitating communications and reducing response times in the daily operations of the companies.
Claro business customers will have a focus on security in the cloud, networks and edge computing. The main benefits for companies in the country translate into the implementation of security policies to replicate in their offices and teleworker or corporate end users, practicality of deployments, management and monitoring of services 24-7 from Claro Colombia's CSOC and dashboard integrated by company that allows real-time visualization of operations and the containment of cyber attacks.
“This alliance allows us to orchestrate the connectivity of companies through cybersecurity, which responds to the current needs of the market with the challenges of continuity of operations, resilience and native hybrid work (Offices + Telecommuting). With SASE we offer an integrated solution that responds to network security challenges with a multi-cloud ecosystem that enhances the digital transformation of companies in the country. In addition, having a SASE PoP control point in our Triara Data Center, and the Claro-CSOC Cybersecurity Operations Center, allow us to provide greater support and comprehensive support of solutions”, said Isam Hauchar, Executive Director of the Corporate Market of Claro Colombia. .
VMware will deliver these capabilities as a service from a global network of more than 150 points of presence (PoPs) deployed by VMware and its partners around the world. Additionally, through its subsidiaries, Claro Enterprise Solutions will host PoP SASE in Latin America, including Brazil, Colombia and Mexico.
“Cybersecurity is essential for companies in Colombia, and at Claro we have certified cybersecurity personnel to operate our integrated security portfolio to accompany companies in the challenges of growth and operation. We have made an investment of more than US$150 million in an ambitious portfolio of Digital Solutions for large companies and SMEs in the country focused on digital transformation and cybersecurity solutions.
