Mobile financial service provider upay has signed an agreement with BURO Bangladesh, facilitating the ‘not for profit’ non-government organization to collect loan installments from their customers through upay, said a press release.
Besides, the agreement also facilitates around 2.232 million BURO Bangladesh customers to conduct various financial transactions through upay, including making installment payments of their savings scheme maintained with the organisation.
Emon Kalyan Dutta, chief sales and service officer of upay, and Farmina Hossain, director of operations of BURO Bangladesh, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations amid the presence of Rezaul Hossain, managing director and chief executive officer of upay.
Among others, Shakib Altaf, deputy director, Hasan Mohammad Zahid, assistant director, Md Mamunur Rashid, account manager, Md Mahfuzur Rahman, account manager of upay and M Mosharrof Hossain, finance director, Pranesh C. Banik, director- risk management, and other higher officials of BURO Bangladesh were present at the signing ceremony held at the BURO Bangladesh Office in the city recently.
Since upay launching, the company has acquired around 50 lakh customers. upay has more than one lakh upay points across the country.
