Last month Disney+ was launched in South Africa; now, the Disney+ app being offered across the Middle East and Africa is different from the app used elsewhere.

The Disney+ app across the Middle East and Africa is a variant version of the Disney+ Hotstar app used in India and South-East Asia.

The app does have a different user interface. Also, it has another login system, which uses a mobile telephone number rather than a Disney ID, while the content isn’t different.

This leads us to the fact that it might not work if you are visiting the Middle East or Africa and trying to use your Disney+ app, it might not work. It also will be the same situation for those from the Middle East or Africa visiting other countries trying to access Disney+ on their devices.
