Telefonica Deutschland, which provides fixed and mobile services under the brand name O2, has announced that it will market gigabit fixed broadband speeds to over 22 million cable households from 3 May.
More than 50% of all German homes will be able to book the ‘O2 my Home XXL’ tariff, which is priced at EUR29.99 (USD24.5) per month for the first year over Vodafone’s cable network, or EUR34.99 per month for the first year via Tele Columbus’ cable infrastructure. Telefonica also offers 1Gbps connection speeds over the fibre-optic networks of Unsere Grune Glasfaser and wilhelm.Tel from EUR69.99 per month. Telefonica has been offering cable services over the networks of Vodafone and Tele Columbus via wholesale access agreements since January 2021 and July 2021, respectively.
