The Dubai Electronic Security Centre (DESC) of Digital Dubai will present its innovative projects and initiatives that align with the Dubai Cyber Security Strategy at the Gulf Information Security Expo and Conference (GISEC) 2022.
In addition DESC, taking part as the official government partner, will highlight its role in ensuring that all standards are met to ensure cybersecurity in the emirate.
The event is taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from March 21 to 23, 2022, and aims to shed light on effective and secure ways to communicate and do business in the cybersecurity and information technology sector in the region and around the world.
Hamad Al Mansoori, Director General of Digital Dubai, said: “In a world where developments are unfolding at an increasingly rapid pace – especially in the digital sector – information security has become a top priority and an essential requirement in securing social and economic activities and ensuring people’s wellbeing and happiness. In Dubai and the UAE in general, we treat this issue with the importance and urgency it deserves, in line with the directives of our wise leadership. And with that in mind, we were determined to actively participate in the Gulf Information Security Expo and Conference – a leading global platform that brings together leaders, decision makers, and international experts in information security.”
“Information security is the cornerstone of the digital transformation process that is reshaping cities all around the world,” Al Mansoori added.
“This reality compelled Digital Dubai to take part in GISEC 2022, represented by the Dubai Electronic Security Centre. It is an ideal opportunity for us to learn about global trends in the sector and develop effective frameworks for cooperation and partnership between various competent authorities and institutions.”
Al Mansoori applauded GISEC, which is held at this particular time as further evidence that the world is in recovery mode from the Covid-19 pandemic. It marks Dubai’s full return to its ambitious plans to assert its global status as a leading destination for major events that attract participants from all over the world.
Dubai Electronic Security Centre is using its platform at GISEC 2022 to present its vision and plans to enhance security across communications networks and information systems in Dubai Government entities, and streamline technical and advisory support mechanisms, in an effort to enhance cybersecurity and the overall resilience of cyberspace in Dubai.
GISEC will host more than 8,000 experts from the international information security community, corporate leaders, and end-users, including government entities and major buyers of cybersecurity solutions. The event offers a platform to explore the latest trends in the sector, participate in learning activities, and communicate with prominent international companies from the sector.
