Egyptian start-up Splendapp receives seed funding from Saudi investors

Egyptian start-up Splendapp, which specialises in creating and designing mobile applications, announced its success in the first seed funding round from Saudi angel investors without disclosing the value of the funding.

Cairo-based Splendapp was established in the second half of 2020 by Mohamed Khaled and Mohamed Shaheen, who used their experiences to establish a company that specialises in creating and designing mobile applications within only 48 working hours while adapting these applications to work across iOS and Android.

Soon, Splendapp was able to serve clients in three different countries, and the company plans to expand its presence within the GCC over the next six months.

Khaled, the Co-Founder and General Manager of Splendapp, said that the company plans to use the investment funds in several aspects of spending, most notably continuing to develop the products the company currently offers, in addition to implementing geographical expansions inside and outside Egypt, as well as supporting the work team in order to keep pace with the growth in demand.

Splendapp provides a great customer experience by providing them with their mobile applications, through a new model of SaaS solutions with options for building UX of applications as well as publishing these applications on Android and iOS stores.

It also provides an engine that integrates with the most popular e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Woocommerce, Wix, Magento, and others, without risk and within a short time, based on a very competitive rate plan.

The company’s customers also enjoy an easy and flexible control panel in their applications, so that they can make any changes to their applications without the need for technical or programming expertise and without a code (with drag and drop technology), so that the application and its entire design are implemented within a record time of only 48 hours.

Currently, the Splendapp team is focusing on building e-commerce applications, due to the continuous growth of e-commerce, especially after the pandemic in the Middle East and North Africa.
