Telenor Montenegro ended 2021 with significant revenue growth, a stable customer base and as a leader in customer satisfactions, CEO Branko Mitrovic has told Mina, adding that the company is planning significant investment in further network development this year. He said the mobile network operator (MNO) recorded over 4% growth in post-paid customers while maintaining the leading position in the pre-paid segment. Mobile internet traffic grew by 37.4% compared with 2020.
Speaking about Telenor’s investment strategy in Montenegro, Mitrovic stated the company plans to maintain its expenditure on network modernisation and the development of new services and technologies, such as 5G. ‘Modern applications that make everyday life easier, the latest devices and attractive offers have been part of our focus in business over the past year,’ the executive said, adding: ‘We have successfully realised all the planned investments for the previous year, because we believe in long-term development and recovery of the market.’
Telenor Montenegro, which was acquired by Hungarian technology company 4iG for an undisclosed sum last month, operates an LTE network covering 98% of the population and claimed 419,503 mobile subscriptions and a 32.7% share of the market at 30 September 2021.
