Classic Tech launches 1Gbps fiber connection

Nepalese ISP Classic Tech has unveiled its new range of fibre broadband packages which features the country’s first 1Gbps connection, reports Nepalitelecom.com. The new ‘Platinum Tachyon’ plan costs NPR47,988 (USD401) on a twelve-month contract and includes a free subscription to the company’s IPTV service, a 5GHz Mesh router, unlimited downloads (subject to a fair usage policy) and free installation. Other speed options in the company’s new Tachyon portfolio include a 150Mbps downlink priced at NPR1,500 a month, 225Mbps (NPR1,800 per month), 325Mbps (NPR2,400 per month) and 625Mbps (NPR29,988 for twelve months).

One of the country’s fastest-growing ISPs, Classic Tech provides broadband and TV services to residential and small business customers in 74 districts and claimed 160,173 subscriptions as of mid-September 2021.
