The Jersey Competition Regulatory Authority (JCRA) plans to release a new draft decision as part of the second stage of its Business Connectivity Market Review in February/March 2022. With the regulator having completed the first stage of the review – which covered market definition and significant market power (SMP) assessments back in July 2021 – this second stage it now focused on remedies related to business connectivity services, including leased lines.
According to the JCRA, having carried out ‘structured engagement’ with targeted stakeholders with respect to remedies, it will consult on its planned draft decision before issuing a final decision and initial notice in May/June 2022, while the issuance of a final notice is expected in July/August, before any remedies are implemented in September/October 2022.
