Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT Group) has launched its streaming service Viaplay in Poland.
The launch comes as a part of a major international push for Viaplay that was laid out by CEO Anders Jensen in late 2020.
The streamer is priced at priced at PLN34 (€7.55) per month, and has a wide range of content that includes kids content, Viaplay Originals, international films and series, and premium live sports including the German Bundesliga, FIFA World Cup 2022, US Open golf and FIBA EuroLeague Women basketball.
As a part of the launch in Poland, NENT has agreed a multi-year distribution deal with cable TV operator UPC. Viaplay will be made available to UPC customers as a part of various TV packages, and as an add-on subscription. In addition, the app will be integrated into UPC’s TV 4K Box “in due course”.
