Filipino operator Globe Telecom has revealed that under its ongoing programme to upgrade its third-generation mobile network to 4G LTE – terming it ‘the new standard of mobile data’ – it has completed the modernisation of sites in twelve provinces, including Batangas, Bohol, Bukidnon, Davao del Sur and Davao del Norte.
In a statement, Globe confirmed that 507 sites have been upgraded in Batangas, while in Mindanao 366 sites ‘are now powered by 4G LTE in Davao del Sur’. Furthermore, it has upgraded sites in Davao del Norte (126 sites), Bukidnon (79), Bohol (85), Cagayan (111), Rizal (88), Cavite (195), Laguna (328) and Pampanga (358).
