Telefonica Deutschland has announced that its 5G network, which operates in the 3.5GHz band, is now available in around 80 cities via a network of approximately 2,000 antennas.
The firm launched its 5G network in October 2020 and has recently expanded services to cities including Leipzig, Regensburg, Pforzheim, Freiburg im Breisgau, Mulheim an der Ruhr and Worth am Rhein. By the end of the year, services will reach 30% of the population thanks to the rollout of 5G in the 700MHz and 1800MHz bands, with nationwide coverage expected by 2025.
